Pelosi mentioned her remarks from a press conference earlier Wednesday about the progress she hopes to make in lowering prescription drug costs and finalizing a trade agreement with Mexico and Canada.

The president responded to her remarks by tweeting that she is "incapable of working on either" policy item.

Nancy Pelosi just said that she is interested in lowering prescription drug prices & working on the desperately needed USMCA. She is incapable of working on either. It is just camouflage for trying to win an election through impeachment. The Do Nothing Democrats are stuck in mud!

Trump also tweeted Wednesday that the Democrats are wasting time on "bullshit" with the impeachment inquiry.

The Do Nothing Democrats should be focused on building up our Country, not wasting everyone’s time and energy on BULLSHIT, which is what they have been doing ever since I got overwhelmingly elected in 2016, 223-306. Get a better candidate this time, you’ll need it!

Pelosi responded in her ABC interview by turning back to areas where the White House and Democrats could work on legislative items, saying, "Why can't we do it? It's up to him."

“That was our pledge during the campaign, ‘For the People,’ we would lower the cost of prescription drugs. I think that the president wants to do that. So, I hope that he would cooperate. He does want the U.S., Mexico, Canada free trade agreement. So do we — when we have assurances that there will be enforceability for America’s workers and America’s farmers. And we’re close. We’re on a path to yes.”
