Nike is no longer selling its products on Amazon. In an announcement this week, the company said they’re going to focus on “more direct and personal relationships with customers.”

The two companies first struck a deal in 2017, but now Nike is investing in its own online stores and other business relationships.

“We will continue to invest in strong, distinctive partnerships for Nike with other retailers and platforms to seamlessly serve our consumers globally,” Nike said in a statement.

Analysts believe the decision to leave Amazon may have involved Amazon selling counterfeit merchandise. Nike has been one of the company’s top selling brands and reportedly is not happy about the number of counterfeit sellers and products still on the website.

Nike said its items are still available for purchase on its own company website.
