It seems that even though the producers of Friends don’t want to do a reunion, the cast is doing everything they can to at least reunite as themselves. Or, let’s reiterate the women want to reunite in some form or another while the guys frequently say no.

Fans certainly want some form of reunion, and Jennifer Aniston did note recently something is on the plate to reunite the cast. Though, the actress won’t say what it is.

No doubt it won’t be a typical reunion and something perhaps different from what we’ve seen. Maybe it’ll be a short video showing where the characters are now.

In the meantime, everyone has to make do with the rare cast reunions we see on social media. The most recent was a warmhearted one between Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry.

It’s been a while since ‘Friends’ fans have seen Monica and Chandler together

Most of the cast reunions seen lately have been with the women, namely Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow. They clearly love being around one another and get together for lunch when they can as we’ve seen in various media pics recently.

Reuniting with the male cast doesn’t happen very often, outside of reports they always enjoyed each other’s company. They do stay in contact, and when there is a reunion, the photos are plastered all over the media. Fans were fortunate enough to enjoy one of those moments recently when there was a pic of Cox and Perry reunited as Monica and Chandler on Instagram.

There hasn’t been a moment like this in a good while. For many, this was also a bit of a relief considering Perry has been in the media for the wrong reasons of late. Seeing him looking healthier is making everyone wonder just what kind of reunion the Friends cast has up its sleeve.

Was this a hint maybe something is being done undercover now for a later reveal? No matter if it’s something short and sweet, it seems something is brewing.

The general consensus is that Monica and Chandler would still be together on ‘Friends’

Let’s not forget Monica and Chandler married by the end of Friends and ultimately had twins. This type of commitment no doubt kept them together, something some involved with the show concur with recently.

While some think Ross and Rachel may not have made it — the couple was on-again-off-again on the series — Aniston did say she thinks they’re still a couple. However, she also said they’ve probably gone on a break, proving Aniston knows the reality of, well…marriage.

One thing fans have learned is the cast was unusually close from the beginning, something they keep proving with these mini-reunions. Reuniting with the guys has perhaps been set back a little because of how Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer have said they don’t want to see what their characters would be like today.

Based on Aniston’s recent comment, maybe we will anyway, or at least a brief preview without going into details about having colonoscopies.

Should any ‘Friends’ reunion be a short one?

Seeing the dynamics of where the Friends characters are in their lives today would be a great bookend, if maybe best to not go into too many details. A short ten-minute video (like on upcoming Quibi for instance) would be ideal in perhaps telling a micro-story of what 2019 looks like for Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe.

If Monica and Chandler are still married, everyone would be reminded they were the real center and most sane characters of the entire series. Producers have said this was the intention all along.

Now let’s wonder if their twins look exactly like either Monica or Chandler. It’s a good bet they look a little like both, making any casting for their now adult twins a major challenge.
