RANDI: YOU HAVE ABOUT THREE HOURS BEFORE THINGS CHANGE WITH COLD AIR AND SNOW. A LIVE RADAR NOW, THINGS ARE VERY QUIET AND WARM. YESTERDAY, 63. WE ARE ALREADY 60 DEGREES TODAY WITH THE COLD AIR BETWEEN HERE AND INDIANAPOLIS. A FEW LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS CLOSER TO INDY. IN GENERAL, THINGS ARE PRETTY QUIET. THERE IS THE ARCTIC COLD FRONT THAT WILL BRING US SNOW AND DROP TEMPERATURES AT LEAST 20 DEGREES OVER TWO TO THREE HOURS. BIG CHANGES WILL COME IN THE EVENING. LET’S LOOK AT THE FUTURECAST. IT HAS A GOOD HANDLE ON WHERE THE SPOTTY SHOWERS ARE NOW. BETWEEN NOW AND 2:00, THEY WILL STAY IN THE NORTHWESTERN-MOST IMMUNITIES -- COMMUNITIES. BETWEEN 2:00 AND 4:00, YOU SEE RAIN SHOWERS MOVE INTO DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI. TEMPERATURES WILL BE FALLING AT THAT POINT THROUGH THE 50’S. HERE IS THE RAIN/SNOW CHANGEOVER LINE. AS EARLY AS 4:00, CONNERSVILLE WILL SEE THE CHANGE OVER FROM RAINDROPS TO SNOWFLAKES. WATCH BETWEEN 4:00 AND 6:00 P.M., YOU SEE SNOW OVERTAKING DOWNTOWN AND THE LOOP FOR THE EVENING COMMUTE. BY 8:00 TONIGHT, MOST AREAS ARE SEEING SNOW. BY 9:00, EVERYBODY HAS SNOW SHOWERS. 10:00 TONIGHT, SNOW IS COMING DOWN PRETTY GOOD. BUT IT WAS 63 YESTERDAY. IT IS 60 NOW. ALL THE SNOW THAT FALLS BETWEEN THE MIDAFTERNOON AND 11:00 AT NIGHT WILL MELT WHEN IT HITS THE PAVEMENT. GIVEN ENOUGH SNOW AND TIME, EVENTUALLY THERE WILL BE SOME ACCUMULATION. THE FIRST INCH OF SNOW DOES MELT WHEN IT HITS THE PAVEMENT. ANYTHING THAT COMES IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS TOMORROW WILL CREATE AT LEAST A LIGHT COATING ON THE GROUND BEFORE IT SLOWLY MOVES OUT. THE BIGGER ISSUE WILL BE THE RAISED SURFACES, BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES, AND UNTREATED ROADS COULD BECOME SLICKER OVERNIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY. DURING THE DAY TOMORROW, WE HAVE LEAK ENHANCED SNOW BANDS COMING OFF LAKE MICHIGAN. THAT COULD BRING A BURST OF SNOW SHOWERS TO THE AREA. THAT SHOULD NOT ADD MUCH TO ADDITIONAL ACUTE RELATION. ACROSS GREATER CINCINNATI, ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW WILL FALL. MOST OF US WAKE UP TO AN INCH AT THE MOST LEFT OVER. RAIN IN THE EARLY AFTERNOON. THE TRANSITION LINE 4:00 TO 5:00. THE IMPACT WILL BE SLICK ROADS, SPECIFICALLY OVERNIGHT INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS TOMORROW. UNTREATED SURFACES AFTER 10:00 TONIGHT THROUGH TOMORROW MORNING. ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW. A LOT OF THAT WILL MELT COURTESY OF THE 59-DEGREE TEMPERATURES NOW. WINDS OUT OF THE SOUTH-SOUTHWEST. COLD AIR IS ALREADY MOVING IN. PLENTY OF TOWNS NEAR 60. CONNERSVILLE IS DOWN TO 47. BY 3:00 THIS AFTERNOON, 40’S IN BUTLER. 30’S IN SOUTHEASTERN INDIANA. THROUGH THE AFTERNOON, TEMPERATURES FALL PUSHING FREEZING BY 7:00 TONIGHT DOWNTOWN. WHAT A CHANGE FROM LUNCHTIME TO DINNERTIME. TOMORROW, 20 DEGREES IN THE MORNING. WITH THE W

Black ice could be problematic Tuesday morning when temperatures will crash quickly. Most towns will be around 20 degrees with wind chills in the single digits. With highs topping out around 27 degrees, it could be a day for the record books. The record lowest high temperature for Nov. 12 is 30 degrees. After that, a strong high pressure system will take control. If you use a humidifier, you'll need it next week, because the air is going to be incredibly dry. Plan on cold afternoons in the 30s and 40s and bitter mornings in the 20s, and colder for the rest of the week.
