The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to beat the Los Angeles Rams 17-12 in Week 10 action at Heinz Field, and the win was their fourth straight on the 2019 season. It seems unfathomable, but the once winless Steelers are now sitting at 5-4 heading into a critical three-game stretch of divisional games.

Pittsburgh has been ravished with injuries, especially on offense, and the team was fortunate to leave the Week 10 game relatively unscathed. The only injuries listed from head coach Mike Tomlin after the game were as follows:

Ryan Switzer (back)

Ola Adeniyi (hip)

Tomlin said both players are being evaluated, and they will know more in the coming days. The kicker for any player who sustains injury on a short week, the likelihood of them playing is slim.

The Steelers head on the road for back-to-back weeks starting with Week 11’s Thursday Night Football showdown with the Browns in Cleveland. Depending on the severity of Switzer and Adeniyi’s injuries, there are other injuries to keep an eye on while the team quickly turns the page to the Browns.

James Conner has missed the last two games with a shoulder injury, and having him back would be a big burst for an anemic running attack. Another player who could help the running back would be fullback Roosevelt Nix, who missed the Rams game after re-aggravating his knee injury which had him out the majority of the regular season.

Guard Ramon Foster is still working his way through the NFL’s concussion protocol, and getting him back in the lineup would equate in all five starting linemen healthy and active for the big game against the Browns.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, who was listed on the injury report with a foot injury, made it through the game Sunday without any setback, per Tomlin.

With the upcoming Thursday night game, Mike Tomlin will address the media tomorrow, Monday, and will likely have an update on these injuries as the team prepares for just their third divisional game of the 2019 regular season. Stay tuned to BTSC for the latest news and notes heading into Week 11.
