STATE...IN YEAR ONE... WAS THE FIRST SIGN THAT THINGS WEREN'T RIGHT. AN EVEN WORSE LOSS AT HOME TO NORTH TEXAS... NO SEC WINS... ONLY TWO WINS IN YEAR ONE... AND CHAD MORRIS WAS ALREADY ON NOTICE. MOST FANS 'KNEW'' IT WAS A RE-BUILD, BUT EXPECTED THINGS TO GET BETTER THIS YEAR... WITH ALL OF CHAD'S TEXAS RECRUITS. BUT IT'S GOTTEN WORSE. MORE EMBARRASSING LOSSES, TO SAN JOSE STATE, AND WESTERN KENTUCKY. 'STILL'' NO SEC WINS.... AND NOT A SINGLE WIN AGAINST A SCHOOL IN A POWER FIVE CONFERENCE. CHAD MORRIS IS A GOOD MAN, HE WAS A HECKUVA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL COACH, AND HE DID A GREAT JOB AS A COORDINATOR AT CLEMSON. BUT AS A HEAD COACH... HIS RECORD I (18 AND 40) AT SMU AND ARKANSAS. ONLY FOUR TOTAL WINS.... SINCE ARRIVING ON THE HILL. NOT GOOD ENOUGH, NOT EVEN CLOS THAT'S WHY A CHANGE... NO MATTER HOW PAINFUL OR EXPENSIVE TO THE UNIVERSITY

Who could be the next Head Hog?

Mike Norvell

Mike Norvell is said to have wanted the Arkansas job when Chad Morris was hired, so it's easy to see how he'd be on the short list.

The Memphis Coach has a 34-15 career NCAA coaching record and has led the Tigers to two straight AAC West Championships.

Lane Kiffin

Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin is said to be looking into the Florida State gig. If he doesn't take that, maybe he could go to the Hogs?

Kiffin has a 58-34 overall NCAA record, and led Florida Atlantic to the 20178 C-USA Championship.

Mike Leach

Mike Leach has a habit of winning at tough places. He won big at Texas Tech and now at Washington State.

Leach has a 137-88 career coaching record. He's been named Coach of the Year in both the Big 12 and the PAC-12.

Eliah Drinkwitz

Eliah Drinkwitz, head coach at Appalachian State, is a Gus Malzahn Protege. He was an assistant coach at Alma HS and an OC at Springdale HS. He was also a RB and co-OC at Arkansas State.

This is his first year as head coach in his own right. Appalachian State has an 8-1 record.

Bill Clark

Bill Clark has rebuilt the program at Alabama-Birmingham.

He has a 42-21 overall college record and led UAB to the C-USA Championship in 2018.
