Former Alabama star and Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram essentially guaranteed that the Crimson Tide would beat rival LSU in Saturday’s meeting at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Ravens running back went as far as to call LSU a “redheaded stepchild.”

So, yeah, he was confident.

But after the Tigers handed Alabama a 46-41 loss at home — snapping a 31-game home winning streak — Ingram waited little time to explain what went wrong for Alabama. It just didn’t have anything to do with the action on the field.

He blamed President Donald Trump.

I’m blaming Trump for this one. Soon as they showed him at game we had that bad swacky!!

Trump was in attendance for Saturday’s game — his third trip to a sporting event in as many weeks — and was greeted with a mostly positive reception in Alabama after getting loudly booed at the World Series and UFC 244. Immediately after Trump was introduced in Tuscaloosa, the game went off the rails for Alabama with Tua Tagovailoa fumbling in the red zone.

Alabama went into halftime down 20 points before rallying to get within a score. It just wasn’t enough to stop Joe Burrow and Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
