The Browns have flopped so far this season, and the Odell Beckham trade rumblings aren’t going away.

“The vultures will be circling if the Browns keep sucking,” an NFC team official recently told Bleacher Report.

The official, along with an other from the NFL, however indicated they didn’t think such a move would take place until next season. That’s likely because Cleveland would be stuck with $19 million in dead cap space if they traded him this offseason, according to Bleacher Report. Beckham could be traded after the 2020 season without penalty. Beckham is in the middle of a five-year, $90 million contract he signed with the Giants in 2018.

Cleveland (2-6) came into the year with so much hype after trading for Beckham from the Giants, but the superstar wideout hasn’t been able to make up for the struggles surrounding first-year head coach Freddie Kitchens and second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Beckham has only 575 receiving yards with one touchdown through eight games so far this season, and said, “I can’t get the ball to save my life” after the Browns failed to keep a potential game-winning drive Sunday against the Broncos, according to CBS. Beckham has since said he didn’t “recall” saying that.

Bleacher Report speculated the Patriots, Packers, Ravens and 49ers could attempt to trade for the 27-year-old three-time Pro Bowler.

Browns GM John Dorsey slammed Beckham trade speculation as “fake news” before the NFL trade deadline on Oct. 29, but plenty can change if his team continues to flounder.

The Browns acquired Beckham from the Giants in March for safety Jabrill Peppers as well as a first- and third-round picks.
