With “The Masked Singer” off the air for two weeks because of the World Series, FOX gave fans a double dose of this reality competition series on November 6. The second episode brought back the five acts who made the cut on October 16: the Black Widow, Butterfly, Flamingo, Leopard and Thingamajig. Of these, the absolute best singer is the Butterfly who nailed it with both her performances to date.

On the premiere, the Butterfly opened the show with a scorching version of the hit tune “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. And in week four, she scored with a rollicking rendition of the Bon Jovi classic “Livin’ on a Prayer.” The Butterfly won over both the judges (Ken JeongJenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke) and the studio audience

We’ve been busy since that first episode trying to figure out who is hiding beneath that elaborate Butterfly costume. Keep reading if you want to know as we have all “The Masked Singer” spoilers, including the name of the Butterfly.

We think that the Butterfly is Michelle Williams, who came to fame as part of the Destiny’s Child trio. The success of that girl group fits in with some of the clues we’ve been given about the “The Masked Singer” contestants as a whole. We’ve been told that between them, the 16 celebrities contending have 20 platinum and 6 multi-platinum records; Destiny’s Child had five platinum and three multi-platinum discs. They won three of their 14 Grammy bids (“The Masked Singer” contenders have 10 Grammys from 42 nominations).

Williams headline three Broadway shows:”Aida,” “Chicago” and “Once on This Island”: as a group, the contestants have been on Broadway 22 times.

The Butterfly clues video includes a shot of the London skyline; Michelle lived in the English capital when she was starring in the West End version of “Chicago.” And it closed with the Butterfly declaring, “I’m here to take you to church”; Michelle has made many gospel records, including her 2014 hit “Say Yes.”

Before taking to the stage for the first time, the Butterfly worried that the cumbersome costume could be her downfall, literally. Indeed, she readily admitted, “I just pray that I don’t fall over.” Williams is still haunted by the header she took when performing as part of Destiny’s Child on BET in 2004.
