The actor who played Luke Skywalker is not the good guy in this attack – at least according to social media fans who thought he was being too harsh on the Trump family.

Mark Hamill ripped into Ivanka Trump who posted a family photo on social media sites over the weekend.

Trump wore a strapless evening dress and stood next to her husband, Jared Kushner in a tuxedo. Standing in front of them and hamming it up for the camera stood one of their sons in a "Star Wars" Stormtrooper costume.

Trump captioned the photo, "The Force is strong in my family."

Hamill, who has a history of clapping back at President Donald Trump, tweeted the photo and wrote, "You misspelled "Fraud." His hashtag was #GoForceYourself.

Some saw the response as mean-spirited and easily a dark-side move.

A stormtrooper may work for the evil empire, but the costume wearer was just a kid, people pointed out.

"Way to attack a child," one user wrote to Hamill.

"Nice. Picking on a kid," wrote another. "High class."

Goddamn, Mr. Hamill. A kid in a Star Wars costume isn't political. People are allowed to like Star Wars.

Nice. Picking on a kid. High class.

A grandmother thought the tweet was too political.

"Are you going to attack my grand daughter and my family too because I like Trump?" she asked on Twitter.

Still, Hamill had his defenders. People said he wasn't attacking a child, but rather, he was calling the family a farce.

"He didn't go after any children," wrote one user. "Reading comprehension is important."
