Bell Arrived At Jets Mandatory Minicamp

The drama is over. Le'Veon Bell stepped on the field Tuesday in a Jets uniform for the first time as the team kicked off its three-day mandatory minicamp.

Bell was limited during the practice, but was engaged. He spoke with the media after for the first time since the Jets signed him in March. He surely wants people to 'remember' why he's the best running back in the NFL.

Le’Veon Bell says it’s understandable if some people forgot that he was the best RB in the NFL when we last saw him on the field 17 months ago.

Then he says... people “will remember” when he plays in a game again.

Bell told the media "it just felt so good" to show up on Monday and be a Jet. He also confirmed he will be skipping next week's OTAs and head back down to Florida to work one-on-one with his trainer until training camp begins in July.

Le'Veon Bell on if people have forgotten he's the best RB in the NFL: "Maybe people forget a little bit just because they haven’t seen it in a long time. It’s normal. That’s what humans do. But I feel like once I go out here, I play, first game coming up, people will be reminded" pic.twitter.com/ILObqA6isP

Of course the relationship Bell has with head coach Adam Gase was a topic of conversation. Bell once again said that his relationship with Gase and talked about the communication he has had with him while he's been training in Florida.

Bell is talking a big game. In a couple of months, we will be reminder of his game. We will find out if the year away from football worked wonders or not.
