The No. 6 Florida Gators are in action on Saturday, taking on the No. 8 Georgia Bulldogs in Jacksonville for their annual rivalry game. While this game always has big implications, this years game carries a little more weight, with both teams boasting a Top10 record and control their destiny for the remainder of the season.

As they do each week before the start of Saturday's gams, the crew from ESPN’s College GameDay gave their predictions on the game.

Analyst Desmond Howard picked Georgia to come away with the win in Jacksonville. Lee Corso predicted the Gators to win this SEC East match up. Analyst Kirk Herbstreit also picked the Gators to win with what they have shown offensively this year.

College Gameday guest speaker Jerry Lawler picked the Gators.

The Gators and Bulldogs will kick off from Jacksonville at 3:30 p.m. ET and will broadcast on CBS.

Both teams currently have one conference loss on the season, but still can reach the SEC Championship game in Atlanta by winning out. While the road to that game likely is decided by this game on Saturday, Florida head coach Dan Mullen isn't trying to put too much emphasis on the X's and O's.

“I mean, you’ve got to win,” he said. “Winning championships, I think, is your measuring stick in one way on the field. But to me, really, I measure us by are we improving. Are we a better team at the end of the year than we were at the beginning of the year? Is the program headed in the right direction? Are we continuing to improve? That’s the measuring stick I use.

“I never try to measure anything off one individual game because all of a sudden, you win one game and you think you have arrived, and then you lose another one and it’s a disaster. And neither of those two is true. You are as good as your last play and what is next week going to bring to you.”

The Gators are coming off a BYE week, which allowed the team to rest their injured players, like key defenders Jonathan Greenard and Jabari Zuniga, who are expected to play in Jacksonville. These two will be needed to stop the Bulldogs high powered rushing attack.

“Good,” Mullen replied when asked how Greenard and Zuniga looked this week. “They’ve practiced both Monday and Tuesday, it was pretty good to have them out there. We’ve limited a little bit of reps Monday and built it up more yesterday and they’ve progressed very nicely, so we expect them to be ready to go play.”
