It’s Nov. 1 now, but before November comes October (ground-breaking stuff, I know) and more specifically, Oct. 31, otherwise known as Halloween. It’s a holiday that lets you embrace your inner child by dresssing up in costumes, acting ridiculous, and gorging yourself on candy, things most MMA fighters don’t regularly partake in (though there are a few notable exceptions). So it’s little surprise that MMA fighters tend to be big fans of Halloween and are avid participants in the tradition. Some fighters go all out (Ryan Bader), some fighters use it as a way to continue their gimmick (Henry Cejudo), and some fighters are just brilliantly topical (Ricky Simon) but all of them have a good time letting loose a little with their family and friends.

Check out below how some of MMA’s biggest figures celebrated this Halloween:

Super Necessary. Jorge Masvidal vows to hurt Colby Covington worse than Ben Askren

Fairy Tales. Nate Diaz has no interest in becoming UFC champion because title belts have ruined real fights.

PFL 9. Emiliano Sordi continues dominant run to finals, Ali Isaev advances with buzzer-beating finish.

Horrible. Police: Walt Harris’ stepdaughter Aniah Blanchard likely ‘harmed,’ now considered a victim of ‘foul play’.

Contender Series. UFC announces new Asia edition of Dana White’s Contender Series.

Embedded.

Nate got the whole crew there.

MixedMollyWhoppery going for the deep dive into Israel Adesanya.

Fighters do their best impression of The Rock.

Derrick Lewis wants Greg Hardy if he beats Volkov.

A Nightmare on Elm Street, Tommy Toe Hold’s interpretation.

MMA Vivisection. Breaking down the best fights at UFC 244.

UFC Unfiltered. Interviews with Kelvin Gastelum and Ray Longo.

Teasing the belt.

The Rock cutting a promo for UFC 244.

Conor shut that one down.

Strong troll.

In the words of Marlo Stanfield: That sounds like one of those good problems.

Full marks for Ricky Simon. Just tremendous stuff.

Welp, this is it. The big one. The one we’ve all been waiting for. Personally, I’m pumped for this weekend. It’s a fascinating fight and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. Hope y’all enjoy it and see you on Monday.
