GLENDALE, Ariz. — No David Johnson, no Chase Edmonds and no starting right tackle Justin Murray.

All three were inactive for the Arizona Cardinals’ Thursday Night Football game against the San Francisco 49ers. Johnson and Edmonds had already been ruled out, according to multiple reports.

Those three injured players were joined on the Arizona inactives list by receiver Damiere Byrd, safety Charles Washington, and rookie defensive linemen Michael Dogbe and Zach Allen (shoulder).

Byrd is a notable healthy scratch for a receiver group that last week sat rookie KeeSean Johnson.

With Murray out, Arizona will start its third right tackle this season.

Offseason tackle addition Marcus Gilbert suffered a season-ending injury before the year began, and midseason signee Jordan Mills suffered his own season-ending knee injury after starting just two games. Murray started the first two games of the season, took backup duties for Mills’ two starts, then jumped back into the fray over the last four weeks.

Who starts for Murray has yet to be announced, though left guard Justin Pugh was lining up at right tackle in pregame warmups. That put backup center/guard Mason Cole in Pugh’s regular starting spot.

Pugh has experience at tackle from his time with the New York Giants.

Seventh-round pick Josh Miles is active as well.

With the Cardinals’ best two running backs out, a trio of new backs will be rushing behind the shuffled offensive line.

A new right tackle will be blocking for a backfield that includes Tuesday trade acquisition Kenyan Drake plus two free agent additions from last week, Alfred Morris and Zach Zenner.

Drake joins Arizona after being traded from Miami mid-week. He has tallied 174 rushing yards on just 3.7 yards per carry — he averages 4.6 yards per tote for his career — and 174 receiving yards on 22 catches.

Edmonds (hamstring) and Allen (neck) had already been ruled out of the Thursday game.

Johnson (ankle) and Murray (knee) were listed as questionable on the Wednesday injury report.

For the 49ers, receiver Marquise Goodwin, cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, tackle Mike McGlicnhey, tackle Joe Staley, defensive lineman Jullian Taylor and quarterback C.J. Beathard are inactive.
