After a brief delay that prevented Fortnite's newest cosmetic type from launching last week, Fortnite Kicks are arriving on Thursday, November 21, finally giving you the chance to make any of your skins wear a pair of sick Jordans. Everybody who owns the Remix Pass will have their first pair, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Black Toe Reimagined’ sneakers from the bonus rewards, which has already been given automatically to everyone with the pass. And to mark the occasion, Epic is dropping a free emote in the shop, Show 'Em Off, that will showcase your kicks.

Aside from that pair, there will be a launch wave of kicks in the shop for the first week or so, coming in two drops. On the 21st, you'll have three pairs of Nikes available:

  • Nike Cortez OG (800 V-Bucks)
  • Nike Air Foamposite (1000 V-Bucks)
  • Nike Shox R4s (1000 V-Bucks)
  • Chomp Stomper slippers (600 V-Bucks)

The second drop hits a day later on the 22nd, with four pairs of Jordans:

  • Air Jordan 3s (1000 V-Bucks)
  • Air Jordan 3 Retros (800 V-Bucks),
  • Air Jordan 4 Retros (1000 V-Bucks)
  • Black/red Air Jordan 11s (1000 V-Bucks)

All of these will leave the item shop at reset on Nov. 26.

These are the first of four initial planned drops of Kicks that will include Nikes, Jordans, and Fortnite original shoes, so it's safe to assume more new kicks will rotate into the shop once these first drops leave.

As of launch, the new kicks cosmetics will work with about a quarter of all Fortnite skins, including some collaboration and IP skins. Epic ambitiously anticipates that kicks will work with 95% of all skins by the spring of next year. Though that last 5% might be out of luck--Patrick Mahomes, for example, wears Adidas because he's sponsored by that company, and so his skins may never be able to support a cosmetic type that would make him wear Nikes. But that will be an outlier case.

Fortnite's 32.11 patch marks the final update for Remix season and will also add files related to the end-of-season live event featuring the late Juice WRLD, as well as two Juice WRLD skins--including a cel shaded one that will be free to everyone who logs in on the final day of the season on November 30.
