Well, its surely going to be a strange sight seeing Klay Thompson and Kyrie Irving wearing the same uniform and playing alongside each other. Throughout their careers, they have gone head-to-head on the biggest stages and competed against each other for multiple championships. However, the two superstars have played on the same team before. Yes, although not in the NBA, Klay and Kyrie have been teammates in the past representing Team USA. And Klay believes this experience will help the duo find their groove in Dallas.

Reminiscing about the Team USA experience while addressing the team up with Kyrie, Klay said, “The times we’ve played together, we had great success with the USA team. So I’m looking forward to building that chemistry with him again. And when we get more time together, it’s only going to get better.”

However, they did not get a chance to represent their nation in this year’s Olympics as Kyrie even called out the ambiguous selection process which is done without holding any try outs. “I won’t say it was hurtful not to be able to try out, but it just was weird that we weren’t able to try out and get together as a group, because the USA team is not just 12 guys or 15 guys.” Irving remarked about the snub.
