After LeBron James’ Lakers and Stephen Curry’s Warriors, 1 More NBA Team Set to Form Their Own Big 3
The Los Angeles Clippers are set to become the third team in the Pacific division to form a ‘Big 3’. The Golden state warriors have Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. Meanwhile, LA Lakers ‘Big 3’ includes All-star players like LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Anthony Davis.
It is reported that former All-Star John Wall would join the Los Angeles Clippers. This would provide them with depth in the point guard position. Houston and Wall secured a buyout to make him a free agent. The five-time All-Star John Wall was under the $171 million deal that he signed with the Wizards.

Houston took the load of paying him that fee for two seasons, one of which he spent on the bench. He gave up $6.5 million of the $37 million annual contract to reach the buyout. This latest ‘Big 3’ would be an exciting one to watch and would make them contenders for the upcoming season.
John Wall with Paul George and Kawhi for the Clippers
Reggie Jackson would resume his role on the bench as he did in the prior season for the Clippers. Isaiah Hartenstein would have consumed the tax player MLE that John Wall just used for his arrival in LA. The Clippers are quite stacked with Batum, Zubac, and Morris, adding John Wall to the mix and they are officially a super team.

This was on the cards for John Wall for a while. In May 2022 Wall was spotted attending a Clippers game with Paul George’s parents. The Clippers have the best bench and depth in all of the NBA. Reggie Jackson and John Wall would be at point, Norman Powell and Luke Kennard at the Shooting guard.
At Small Forward, they have Paul George and Robert Covington, and at power forward Kawhi Leonard and Marcus Morris. Zubac and Batum would play at the five. This would give LeBron James-led Lakers a lot of competition for the throne of LA.
Will John Wall take the Clippers to the promised land like LeBron James did for the Lakers?
It is hard to believe John wall was playing All-Star level basketball just a few years ago. His Achilles injury in 2019 was the reason he lost his bounce and some athleticism. Wall got injured during a home game for the Washington Wizards and since then has struggled to find his rhythm. Wall and the Houston Rockets agreed to a bench and training camp role for the prior season as a part of the rockets’ rebuild.

Wall during his prime was a great playmaker. He brings the ball movement and athletic point play that was much needed for the Clippers. All three of this new ‘Big 3’ have missed games in the last two seasons. So it would be a challenge for them to get going as a group. Regardless, The Clippers are built to contend for gold.
