What to expect from Season 5 Reloaded

Season 5 added two new weapons with the Static-HV submachine gun and STG assault rifle in the free tiers of the battle pass. Now, the midseason update adds the spear melee weapon and Torque 35 launcher. These weapons will be available to unlock for free with in-game challenges.

The Wildlife Most Wanted Field Rep event arrives during the midseason with a scheduled date of August 21-28. This is another XP event for rewards, and players can earn an additional XP boost by equipping any of the animal-head operators from the Wildlife-themed shop bundles.

The Emotional Overdrive Field Rep event runs from September 12-18. This XP event offers new rewards, and players earn additional XP boost by equipping the Emoting Ultra Skin shop bundle.

Shop bundles for Season 5 Reloaded include a crossover with The Crow, a punk rock-themed bundle for Ghost, the Call of Duty League "Playmaker Pack", and more.

Modern Warfare 3

Season 5 Reloaded adds the cel-shaded "Ink House" map variant for the Stash House map. More game modes are being added to MW3. This includes the return of MW2019's Cyber Attack variant of Search and Destroy, a paintball mode, and the new Fishfection variant of the Infected mode, which is a party mode that turns players into cats and fish for a showdown of fish versus felines.

For Zombies, the update includes the final story mission. Players who complete the mission will be rewarded with a cinematic conclusion, as well as the first item needed to complete the new Dark Aether rift Easter egg. Completing the new rift gives the change to earn one of three new schematics:

  • Disciple Bottle: Activate this schematic to spawn a friendly Disciple that follows and helps your operator by brainrotting zombies and teleporting when needed
  • Grenade Bandolier: Bombard the enemy with lethal and tactical equipment using this schematic that replenishes the items over time
  • Stash Increase: Increases the player stash size to 30

Warzone

The Rebirth Island map will include the Supreme Resurgence mode, which focuses on high-tier ground loot, such as powerful meta-inspired weapon blueprints with some of MW3's flashy weapon camos.

Season 5 Reloaded adds the new Elite contract. This will offer one of Warzone's existing contracts with a shorter time limit and higher rewards. The Elite contract will be available across all maps and modes, and the rewards include XP, cash, and one of the following items:

  • Foresight Killstreak
  • Multiple Redacted Weapons
  • Specialist Perk Package
  • Advanced UAV

The update also includes the new Recon Flyover public event, which includes two waves of Advanced UAVs designed to scan the most populated areas on the map. Scanned players will appear as red player arrows showing the direction they are facing. The range of the Advanced UAVs is displayed with a red circle on the mini-map, so players can see if they're in the radius of the scan.

Warzone Mobile

Season 5 Reloaded adds the new Arcade Hype limited-time mode for Rebirth Island. In this mode, players can spend their cash at arcade machines to earn random power-ups, such as unlimited ammo, increased fire rate, stronger armor, and more. All players will also be given enhanced jumping abilities. However, Activision says this mode won't go live until later in the midseason.

For the multiplayer side of Warzone Mobile, the update adds MW3's recent 8-Bit Team Deathmatch mode, which turns players into retro-style blocky characters.

Players can expect the following events in Warzone Mobile:

  • Akuma Attack: From August 22-28. Featured Reward: Weapon Blueprint, TYR - Demonforger
  • Cyber Crash: From August 29-September 4. Featured Reward: Weapon Blueprint, BAS-P – Dead Silence
  • Mecha Event: From September 5-11. Featured Reward: Weapon Blueprint, Sidewinder – Second Gear
  • Tenshi Rise: From September 12-18. Featured Reward: Operator, Kleo – Dispersion

As seasonal content continues for MW3, Activision is also releasing plenty of news ahead of Call of Duty's Black Ops 6 launch in October. Here is everything we know about Black Ops 6 Zombies so far.

An update is also coming to the Call of Duty app ahead of the game's release in order to make improvements to the game's awful UI.
