Dying Light fans might want to tune into Gamescom Opening Night Live tomorrow, August 20. That's because host Geoff Keighley seems to be teasing a new entry in the zombie video game series, especially in light of a recent US Patent and Trademark Office filing.

On X, Keighley shared a roughly one-minute live-action video alongside the text: "The Beast Is Coming." What's notable here is that Keighley focuses on "The Beast," since the USPTO website shows a trademark application for Dying Light: The Beast was submitted on August 12.

Meanwhile, the teaser shows a woman frolicking in a forest for the first half before the tone turns dramatically darker--and bloodier--in the second part. At the end, she says, "Please, help me," before being dragged away. When someone on X responded that they "don't want live-action trailers," Keighley replied: "I'd tune in then."

Last year, series director Tymon Smektała posted a poll on X asking what fans would like to see in a possible Dying Light 3. However, it was made with a disclaimer that this was by no means an official announcement of a sequel. The last entry in the franchise was Dying Light 2: Staying Alive, released in early 2022.

Along with Keighley teasing a new Dying Light, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II are set to show up at Gamescom Opening Night Live tomorrow at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET. However, Keighley has confirmed one game won't be at the event--Hollow Knight: Silksong.
