Vinicius Junior has warned opponents that his partnership with Kylian Mbappe will be "brutal" as the Frenchman prepares for his debut season at Real Madrid.
Mbappe's arrival in the Spanish capital was announced earlier this summer after the former Paris Saint-Germain star called time on his seven-year spell with the Ligue 1 side. The French club's all-time top goalscorer now joins up with the likes of Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.
A partnership with Mbappe is something Vinicius is keen to explore. The Brazilian has revealed his desire to play together and score goals in the 2024/25 campaign in an interview with club media.
"It's going to be brutal," he said. "Everyone is hoping we can do great things this season. We have to take care of him and we are doing everything so that he can adapt as quickly as possible because it's always very complicated to come to another club.
"But we've already done that with Jude, who came last season and shone, so hopefully we can spend a lot more with Kylian. Endrick as well is coming in now, he is very young but already has it in his head that he can help us when we need him.
"I want to win more titles than last season, score more goals, make more assists and keep evolving because I am only 24 years old. I've been here for six years already. It's time to come back and be focused because the first game is already a final for us, we are preparing and waiting for the remaining players so that this season is like the last one."
Madrid will face Serie A side Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup on 14 August, before looking ahead to the La Liga season opener on 18 August at Mallorca.
