The winner of Egypt vs Morocco at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games will bring home their country's first ever medal in men's soccer.

Egypt saw their unbeaten streak at the 2024 Paris Olympics come to an end in their semi-final match against France. The Pharaohs conceded a late-game goal to send the game into extra time, where they could not hold off the host nation, especially once they went down to ten men. Rogerio Micale's squad still can leave France with a medal, though, as long as they beat Morocco.

Morocco have been one of the biggest surprises at the Olympics this summer. The Atlas Lions won Group B over Argentina, and then cruised to the semi-finals after defeating the United States 4-0. Although Tarik Sektioui's men fell to Spain, they just need one more victory to secure their spot on the podium.

Egypt will be without Omar Fayed after the defender received two yellow cards against France, and was sent off in the 92nd minute. The 21-year-old will serve his subsequent suspension in the bronze medal match, forced to watch his side battle for their first ever medal in men's soccer from the stands.

Up top, Egypt will rely on the front three of Ibrahim Adel, Osama Faisal, and Zizo to find the winner against Morocco's solid backline.

After serving his one-game suspension against Spain for yellow card accumulation, Bilal El Khannous will be reinserted into the starting XI. The 20-year-old is one of Morocco's most accurate passers, and has two assists in four matches this summer for the Atlas Lions.

Achraf Hakimi will once again lead his backline and hope to inspire the young talent around him to bring home the bronze medal. Soufiane Rahimi, meanwhile, will look to continue his goalscoring form; the striker leads the competition with six goals so far this summer.

Morocco predicted lineup vs Egypt ( 4-2-3-1 ): Munir; Hakimi, El Azzouzi, Boukamir, El Ouahdi; Richardson, Targhalline; Akhomach, El Khannous, Ezzalzouli; Rahimi

Morocco might have come up just short against Spain, but the Atlas Lions have what it takes to defeat Egypt to take home the bronze medal. The Pharaohs will miss Fayed, who started every game at the Olympics for Egypt this summer, against the tournament's leading goalscorer, Soufiane Rahimi.

Morocco is also coming into the match as the fresher side; Egypt played 120 minutes against both Paraguay and France while Tarik Sektioui's men have finished their knockout matches in 90 minutes.

Prediction: Egypt 1-2 Morocco
