Last year, when the long, long-awaited new season of Futurama arrived, the situation felt almost too good to be true. New Futurama after 10 years? Maybe we can have nice things after all. This year, it finally feels real, with season 12 arriving later this month (and seasons 13 and 14 already in the works). You don’t get too many plot specifics from this new trailer, but if Matt Groening and David X. Cohen’s sci-fi misfits are involved, there’ll be far-future chaos, wisecracking robots, and definitely some timely cultural commentary involved.

We do get a tiny bit of detail from Hulu’s official synopsis: “On this orbit around the sun, our occasionally heroic crew embarks on mind-bending adventures involving birthday party games to the death, the secrets of Bender’s ancestral robot village, AI friends (and enemies), impossibly cute beanbags, and the true five million-year-old story behind the consciousness-altering substance known as coffee. And, of course, the next chapter in Fry and Leela’s fateful, time-twisted romance.”

Are those crazy kids gonna finally stick the landing, or what? Starring the voices of John DiMaggio, BIlly West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil Lamar, and David Herman, Futurama season 12 runs 10 episodes and arrives on  Hulu July 29.
