Whether you’re watching it or not, everybody’s talking about Amazon Prime’s Fallout. It’s a great show, so it’s not surprising to see the ardent discourse about it online. And as people fall in love with the post-apocalyptic world and wry humor of the show, many are flocking to the games to visit (or revisit) that world for themselves. In particular, Fallout 4 is seeing a new lease on life. In fact, the 2015 post-apocalyptic RPG is the number one best-selling game in Europe right now.

According to sales data that GamesIndustry.biz reported on, Bethesda Game Studios’ Fallout 4 took hold of a jet pack and blasted off to the top of European sales charts, with sales of the 2015 RPG rising over 7,500 percent week-on-week. Breaking the figures down a bit, GamesIndustry.biz noted that most of Fallout 4's sales in Europe came from PC, which totaled 69 percent of the overall pie.
There’s some other data to back these sales numbers up, too. According to player tracker SteamCharts, Fallout 4 has seen a massive spike in players since the beginning of April, with a high of nearly 98,000 people playing the game simultaneously at one point in the past 30 days. That’s by far the highest peak the game has seen since its 471,955 all-time peak concurrent player count. And if you’re looking at Steam’s Most Played and Top Sellers categories, you’ll see that Fallout 4 is currently in the number nine and number four spots, respectively. Clearly, a lot of folks want more Fallout now that the show is dominating the zeitgeist.
Folks who are eager to give Fallout 4 a try right now are in luck, since at the time of writing, it’s just $5 on all platforms, down from the $20 it normally sells for. Many of the other Fallout games, like 76 and New Vegas, are also on super sale. With Amazon Prime’s Fallout at the forefront of everyone’s mind, and a second season reportedly gearing up for filming, it’s a great time to be a Fallout fan.
