Breath of the Wild, the predecessor game, took a deviation from the vast dungeon concept to bring shrine-type mini-dungeons to the game. This was widely acclaimed by many, especially as these featured some very powerful bosses.
But, the want for vast dungeons was still present among many players. And from the available footage, it seems like the dungeons with vast explorable areas would be brought back into the game. These will also be an upgraded version of the dark spaces we witnessed in early games.

Especially because Hyrule sort of is already explored, and to make a more expandable area, the best option for the developers is to explore what’s beneath the grounds. Moreover, from the looks of it, these dungeons will also feature more bosses compared to their predecessors.
The narrative will probably take Link back and forth from dungeons to the surface and even to the floating islands that were spotted in the trailer. Moreover, many caves will also likely be accessible in the game as well.

All these surely are hyping up the arrival of Tears of the Kingdom. This massively anticipated title will be released on May 12, 2023, and will be available only for Nintendo Switch users.
