NHL Fans strongly react, still unable to process Alex Debrincat’s trade

A fan commented, “Not going to lie…this one still hurts. Loved him as a hawk but this trade really signaled the end of an era…it more than any previous trade said that “management” didn’t give a sh!t about what the then current roster wanted or needed.” Debrincat had scored more than 40 goals in NHL seasons consistently, making the 25-year-old a valued player.

Later, a fan posted, “They should’ve never traded him. They needed to build the team around him. He was the future. Many fans expressed how they missed him. A fan responded, “Miss him. Nice job Blackhawks with the tribute. He deserved it.”  Afterwards, another fan wrote, “Bring him back!” One fan responded, “I will never understand why he is gone.” Clearly, it is still difficult for fans to process Debrincat’s trade to the Ottawa Senators.
