This unique device gets you access to the popular Split Pad Compact for handheld mode, plus a wired grip they can attach to when docking your Switch at home. The set is usually quite expensive at $80, though a new Amazon sale is now discounting two versions of the gamepad to $60.

A few downsides include the lack of rumble support or motion controls--but at this new low price, it's even easier to recommend.
