You'll catch and tame several Chocobos in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Still, you learn that an ol' pal from the Grasslands needs your help. Here's our guide on how to get all Chocobo Feed for Piko in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

How to get all Chocobo Feed for Piko in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

The Chocobo Feed that you need to obtain--Sylkis Greens--are given as rewards by NPCs in the Dustbowl. Here's a quick summary:

  • This objective is part of the second portion of Chapter 8: All That Glitters. Cloud sees that Piko, the Chocobo from the Grasslands, is severely weak due to an arduous journey across the desert. He needs to find Sylkis Greens to get him back on his feet.
  • You only need three Sylkis Greens to fully heal Piko. This lets you proceed onward with the main quest to partake in Chocobo Racing.
  • However, if you acquire three additional Sylkis Greens, you can purchase extra gear from the Tack Vendor.

Desert Rush

Desert Rush is a minigame where you attempt to get a high score by destroying enough crates within the time limit. However, there are also other mechanics in play:

  • Small boxes can be destroyed with simple melee strikes.
  • Large metal containers require a lot of melee hits before they break. As such, it's better to use abilities such as Braver or Triple Slash.
  • Boxes with a clock drawing extend the time limit.
  • Crates with a lightning bolt illustration are called Shock Boxes.
  • Gear Boxes are those with smaller lightning bolt icons. They can only be destroyed after you've smashed enough Shock Boxes. For instance, Gear Boxes with two red lightning bolt icons denote that you still need to destroy two Shock Boxes.

Due to these mechanics, you have to roam around the area by using alternate paths and elevators. There are also moments when Shock Boxes are placed higher up, which means you need to return to a lower floor to smash the remaining Gear Boxes.

Cactuar Chase

This isn't really a minigame, though you do spend some time chasing after a Cactuar. Follow the critter as it passes through tunnels, while eliminating a few mobs along the way. You can also obtain some materia and consumable rewards.

Once you catch up with the Cactuar, you need to defeat it and its pals.

Queen's Blood players

The goal is to defeat the three Queen's Blood players in the Dustbowl. They are Pietro, Mary, and Dax. All three are also part of the QB tally, so beating them helps you increase your QB rank. If you need more aid when it comes to this card game, you can refer to our Queen's Blood tips guide and the best cards for your deck.

In any case, once you have three Chocobo Feed for Piko in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, hand them over so the poor bird can regain his health. Doing this lets you proceed to the Chocobo Racing event. Still, if you want to maximize the potential rewards, you can tackle the other objectives in the area, all of which net you additional Sylkis Greens.

The Stalkers

Three goons will taunt and follow Cloud as he walks along the eastern portion of the Dustbowl. Eventually, they'll attack. Simply beat them up to force them to hand over the Chocobo Feed.

Swindling Seminar

There are five NPCs here who state a description or observation about certain landmarks in the Dustbowl. However, four of them are lying and only one is telling the truth. You're also given a small map so you can investigate each landmark to see which statement is correct.

In our playthrough, Knucklehead Toya (NPC #2), said that she "got kicked out of the weapon shop for making noise." This statement is correct, since bumping into the crates and making noise will make the vendor shoo you out of the shop. We chose NPC #2 as our answer, and we were given Sylkis Greens as a reward.

The Sylkis Cup

Make your way to the underground silo to battle three waves of enemies while Cloud is on his own. When that's done, you'll receive Sylkis Greens. You can fight the next wave of enemies for additional rewards, too.

All in all, you should have three more Sylkis Greens, enough to purchase the gear pieces for your trusty bird. This is how you get all Chocobo Feed for Piko in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Don't forget to equip the best Chocobo Racing loadout to make the upcoming challenges as breeze.
