Players have reported problems across Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone with server issues affecting multiplayer, Zombies, and battle royale. Activision has commented on the issues--including that they may also impact Modern Warfare 2--but here's what you need to know before logging in to play.

You can still try to hop into matches of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, but you'll want to beware that in addition to difficulty finding matches, many players have suffered reset stats, bugged weapon progression, and lost progression on the battle pass and events.

Activision has acknowledged the issue with a post from the official Call of Duty Updates account on Twitter and announced that a fix is in the works. However, it warns that players may still notice the "unusual behavior related to account level and loadouts." A timeframe wasn't provided, and it might be safer to avoid the game until the issues are resolved.

The publisher also revealed that Ranked Play modes have been disabled for both multiplayer and Warzone while these known progression issues are investigated. Zombies mode has also been taken offline, and Champion's Quest in Warzone has been temporarily disabled.

Subsequently, Activision noted that MW2 players might be impacted in addition to those playing MW3 and Warzone.

In addition to server issues, Call of Duty has recently suffered from a spike in cheaters, but Activision states that the Ricochet anti-cheat is still very much active. The publisher announced a recent ban wave with over 6,000 accounts suspended from February 16 to February 20.

Season 2 of Call of Duty is currently active in MW3 and Warzone, but the midseason "Reloaded" update is just weeks away, which will include two weapons, additional multiplayer maps, new Zombies content, and more Warzone features.
