Luke Shaw is at risk of missing Euro 2024 as Manchester United fear he could miss the rest of the 2023/24 season with a leg injury, a new report has claimed.

The England international missed over three months of the campaign with a separate thigh problem before returning in late November, though another muscle issue left him out for another month.

Shaw has started United's last four Premier League after making his comeback in the 4-2 FA Cup win at Newport County in late January, but the Daily Mail say his last appearance has done some significant damage.

28-year-old Shaw was brought off at half-time of the 2-1 win at Aston Villa before being substituted shortly before the break in the victory at Luton Town. The Mail say he is 'likely' to miss the 2023/24 run-in, leaving Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag scrapping for alternatives at left-back.

Tyrell Malacia has been out of action for the whole season so far, last playing on the final day of 2022/23, due to a long-running knee problem. He underwent a second surgery during a difficult rehabilitation but is expected back in the first-team squad soon.

Ten Hag said last week: "He had setbacks during his rehab process. It takes too long, it's bad for him. Bad for us.

"But now we've turned a point and it's positive - he will return soon on the pitch. I don't think then it will take long before he's returning in the team training."

Diogo Dalot has been used on the left when needed, while Sergio Reguilon was also used before his loan spell at Old Trafford was cut short in January. The likes of Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Sofyan Amrabat have also filled in.

Central defender Lisandro Martinez is out until April with a knee problem, adding to United's injury woes, while Anthony Martial and Mason Mount aren't expected to be available until next month.
