Clear Your Calendar For Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Fans have been taking note of screenshots, clips, and descriptions from the leaks surfacing on Reddit, TikTok, and other sites, and while we can’t confirm their legitimacy, some of them certainly look convincing. Given the game is just about two weeks out, it’s entirely possible folks have early copies from stores that broke street dates. So stay vigilant, friends. If you see a blonde with spiky hair and a big sword on your For You Page, scroll past it fast.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the second game in Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake series, and while large parts of it seem to be true to the original PlayStation RPG, the ending of Final Fantasy 7 Remake implies things might be a lot different moving forward. Whether or not that pans out remains to be seen, but Square Enix says it’s open to the possibility of new endings and riffs on the source material.
In the meantime, while you wait for the full game to launch on February 29, you can play a slice of it right now with the demo available on PlayStation 5. In it, you can play some of the early moments of the next part of Cloud’s journey, or you can just do what a lot of other players are doing and spend a few hours playing the piano.
