Inter Miami's head coach said he expects Lionel Messi to play "as much as possible" in the friendly against Hong Kong on Sunday.
Gerardo Martino was speaking at a press conference after he and his team arrived in the city on Friday afternoon.
"We are coming from two very intense matches... we have to observe the physical situation of each of our team players. Our expectation is that [Lionel] will play as much as possible," he said through an interpreter.
Inter Miami's striker, Luis Suárez, said it is his first time to Hong Kong and that he is grateful for the fans who have shown the team a lot of love.
He said he expects his team to perform better on Sunday than their previous match in Saudi Arabia. The team lost 0-6 to Al Nassr, a Riyadh-based club.
