Tottenham Hotspur have announced that James Maddison will inherit the number 10 shirt left vacant by Harry Kane.
After 19 years at the club, Kane ended his association with Spurs on Saturday when he completed an £86.4m move to Bayern Munich.
He made his debut for the Bundesliga champions later that evening, coming off the bench as Bayern were beaten 3-0 at home by RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup, meaning his career-long wait for a major trophy goes on.
Tottenham must now push on without their all-time record scorer, and they have wasted no time handing out his iconic number 10 shirt.
Summer signing Maddison has been dealt the vacant shirt. The England midfielder was also named as one of Spurs' two new vice-captains alongside Cristian Romero on Saturday, with Son Heung-min taking the armband.
Maddison has impressed in pre-season for Tottenham and is in line to make his competitive debut in Sunday's trip to Brentford.

Kane first took on the number 10 for the start of the 2015/16 season, choosing to inherit Emmanuel Adebayor's shirt rather than go with the vacant number 9.
There was a brief period in 2012 in which Rafael van der Vaart switched to the number 10 from his usual 11. He was sold to Hamburg soon after the change.
Prior to the introduction of permanent squad numbers late in the 20th century, a number of club legends wore 10 for Tottenham, including the likes of Bobby Smith, Cliff Jones, Martin Peters, Ricky Villa, Glenn Hoddle and Gary Lineker.
