The 49ers have been all about their culture since general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan took over. Any trade they made would have to fit within the framework of an already tight locker room.

The team’s acquisition of Emmanuel Sanders for a pair of future draft picks was well-received by several members of the 49ers on Twitter.

Sanders even took time to respond to the 49ers, and his new teammate, defensive back DJ Reed.

It’s important to not put too much stock into social media posts, but the quick reaction, especially from wide receivers Deebo Samuel, Dante Pettis and Kendrick Bourne is a good sign that Sanders will fit pretty easily into the receiver room.

The 49ers need help at that position despite an influx of young talent over the last couple seasons. Their wide receivers have combined for just 49 catches, 679 yards and four touchdowns. That’s great production for one player through seven weeks. It’s not so great for a group of five players through seven weeks.

If Sanders can step in, help elevate the receiving corps and help jumpstart the 49ers’ passing attack, he won’t have a problem endearing himself to his new teammates.
