The Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s lottery drawing is worth an estimated $321 million with a cash option of $218.7 million.
The winning numbers were: 20, 24, 38, 56 and 68. The Powerball drawn was 18 with a Megaplier of 2X.
The jackpot was most recently hit on Nov. 2 when a $150 million ticket was sold in California. It was the seventh and final jackpot-winning Powerball ticket sold across the country last year and had a cash option of $104.8 million. Since then, 21 drawings have been held without a top-prize winner, including Wednesday when no one across the country hit a $296 million jackpot.
There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold across the country. In New Jersey, a $50,000 ticket matching four numbers plus the Powerball was sold at QuickChek on Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne, state lottery officials said.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 39, 41, 53, 55 and 68. The Powerball drawn was 19 with a Megaplier of 2X.
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while there’s about a 1 in 913,129 shot of winning the third prize of at least $50,000.
Powerball is played on Wednesday and Saturday in 44 states, Washington D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
