Instapaper is the best way to save and read web content. There are a number of convenient ways to save articles to Instapaper. Let’s walk through your options.

Saving from iPhone and iPad

The most convenient way to save articles to Instapaper from your iPhone or iPad is via the share button. In your favorite apps, use the share button to save articles to Instapaper with just one tap.

If you do not see Instapaper in the share menu, scroll to the right, select “More,” and turn on the Instapaper option.

• Email Articles

You can send links to articles and videos, or even the content of long emails, directly to Instapaper via email. To get started, add your unique Instapaper email address to your contacts.

• Browse

Find articles chosen by our Editor and connect your social accounts to find articles shared by your friends. You can get to the “Browse” section via the main menu.

Saving from your desktop browser

Another great way to save articles to Instapaper is with our bookmarklet or browser extension. When you’re visiting a webpage, you can save it with one click.

Some great Instapaper features

• Highlights

With Instapaper you can highlight and save text from any article. To create a highlight just select some text and press the “Highlight” option. Your highlights are immediately synced to all your mobile devices and Instapaper.com. With Instapaper Premium you get unlimited highlights, otherwise you get 5 free highlights per month.

• Text-to-Speech

Have the articles you save played back to you using Instapaper’s text-to-speech feature. You can try text-to-speech on this article by pressing the “Action” icon on the right, and selecting the “Speak” option. Instapaper Premium users can create a playlist of articles, which is great for long car rides, jogs, or if you just need to give your eyes a rest.

• Text control

Instapaper can be tailored to your reading preferences. When viewing an article, tap the “Aa” icon for controls to adjust font, text size, color, margins, and line spacing.

• Sharing

There are a lot of options for sharing from Instapaper. Share links directly to Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Evernote, Pinboard, and many other apps. Email a link, a selection, or full text of an article.

• Archive

Finished reading an article? Move it to the Archive. If you ever want to revisit an archived article, Instapaper Premium users can search the full article text of all articles in Instapaper.
