Nashville police announced on Wednesday that they arrested the man suspected of stabbing and killing two men including the brother of San Francisco 49ers quarterback C.J.

 near a local bar on Saturday. Michael Mosley, 23, faces two counts of criminal homicide and one count of attempted criminal homicide after three men were stabbed — two fatally — in the conflict.

Mosley surrendered after being surrounded

Police said that Mosley surrendered when law enforcement surrounded a vacant Nashville-area home he had entered, according to WTVF.

Law enforcement identified Mosley as a suspect on Monday, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation put him on its most wanted list on Tuesday.

Suspect has criminal history

The Nashville Tennessean reported on Monday that Mosley was also facing a felony assault charge for punching and kicking a woman at a Walmartin 2018 and has a criminal history that includes aggravated burglary, attempted aggravated burglary and drug-related arrests.

Clayton Beathard, 22, and Paul Trapeni III, 21, were both pronounced dead at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Saturday after being stabbed in what police described as an argument over a woman that turned violent when the participants stepped outside of the Dogwood Bar.

3rd victim survived

A third stabbing victim, 21-year-old AJ Bethurum, was released from the hospital after being treated for injuries to his eye and arm, according to WTVF. Bethurum is a student at the University of Tennessee.

Beathard was a junior quarterback at Long Island University.

C.J. Beathard is a third-year NFL pro who’s played in 13 games for the 49ers after being drafted in the third round of the 2017 draft.

Their grandfather Bobby Beathard is a Hall of Fame executive best known as the architect of the Joe Gibbs Washington teams of the 1980s.
