ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota has reported another flu death this season, according to the latest influenza activity report from the state Department of Health.
The weekly report issued Thursday said there have been seven flu deaths so far, up from six the previous week. But no child deaths from flu are reported.

The report also said 78 people were hospitalized with the flu last week, the highest total in any week so far this season. The Health Department said a total of 351 people have been hospitalized with the flu this season.
School outbreaks of flu also jumped last week, with 167 reports, nearly triple the previous week when 60 cases were reported. It was the highest number of school outbreaks of flu in the past five years.

Flu is widespread in Minnesota, according to the report.
