The wait is over, Sox fans! We have our starting pitcher. ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports that left-hander Dallas Keuchel and the Chicago White Sox are in agreement on a deal. The deal is said to be worth three years for $55.5 million with a vesting option for a fourth year, per MLB Network’s Jon Heyman.

Keuchel, 31, spent the 2019 season with the Atlanta Braves after signing with the team in June. He ended up making 19 starts and went 8-8 with a 3.75 ERA, 91 strikeouts, 39 walks, 1.367 WHIP, 4.72 FIP, and 2.0 WAR over 112.2 innings pitched.

This is a huge move for the White Sox as they have been looking to add a solid veteran starter to their rotation. As of right now, the rotation looks to include Lucas Giolito, Dallas Keuchel, Reynaldo Lopez, Michael Kopech, and Dylan Cease heading into the 2020 season. The team also added Gio Gonzalez to a one-year deal earlier in the week so he could also factor into the mix. Not too shabby.
