(Newser) – The body of missing Texas mom Heidi Broussard has been identified, the AP reports. The 33-year-old's body, found more than 100 miles away from her hometown of Austin, was positively identified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Science, which called her death a homicide by strangulation. Although police had a suspect in custody who has been charged with kidnapping and tampering with a corpse, by Friday evening they had not announced any murder charges. Broussard disappeared Dec. 12 along with her 1-month-old daughter after dropping her 6-year-old son off at school; a healthy baby that looks like the missing infant was found at the same Houston house where Broussard's body was found, but DNA test results are still confirming her identification.
