The New York Giants look to snap an eight-game losing streak in Week 14, as they travel to rainy Philadelphia to take on the Eagles on "Monday Night Football." Carson Wentz and Co. have a chance to tie the Dallas Cowboys atop the NFC East with a victory, as the division is still up for grabs.

After one of the most uneventful quarters of football of the entire season, Darius Slayton started the second quarter off with a bang. On the first play of the quarter, the Giants' rookie wide receiver caught a pass right on front of Eagles corner Ronald Darby, then broke a tackle and took it to the house for a 35-yard score. The Eagles' ensuing field goal drive proved costly, as Alshon Jeffery had to be carted off the field with an apparent foot injury. His exit left the receivers with only two healthy wide receivers. Philly later lost star right tackle Lane Johnson to injury as well, and he, too, was carted to the locker room. A late-quarter drive from Philly ended around midfield, and left the Giants too much time on the clock to respond. Slayton split bracket coverage and hauled in a deep ball down the left sideline, staking the Giants to a 17-3 lead.

The two teams traded punts on five consecutive possessions to open the second half, and then the Eagles finally got their first touchdown of the game with a 10-play, 58-yard drive that ate up 5:39 of game time and ended with third-string running back Boston Scott plowing into the end zone from two yards out. With only the fourth quarter left to play, the Giants clung to a 17-10 advantage.

Eagles just lost another starter, too. CB Jalen Mills heading into the locker room for evaluation of an arm injury.

Preseason starters you're listing there, Jared. Doesn't really excuse some of Wentz's throws tonight, but important to keep in mind. And like you said, it's astounding they're within one score here.

There are so many Eagles getting snaps in this game that most people had probably never heard of at the beginning of the season. Scott, Greg Ward, Josh Perkins, etc.

Agreed. Scott averaging 5.3 yards per carry tonight.

Credit to Pederson for sticking with Boston Scott on that drive, not that he really had any other option with Miles Sanders now banged up. But found different ways to get him the ball, and it paid off.

That was the longest drive of the game for the Eagles. 10 plays, 58 yards. Right back in it.

Boston Scott into the end zone for Philly's first touchdown of the game, and all of a sudden it's about to be 17-10. As horribly as the Eagles have played, it's pretty incredible that they're still right in this.

What is Ertz arguing about? That is a clear false start.

Do the Eagles suddenly have some life? The Giants secondary is springing some leaks.

Folks, the Eagles converted a 3rd down. Alert the authorities.

Is there some sort of lower conference we can relegate the NFC East to?

Giants penalty doesn't matter, as the Eagles do themselves in anyway. Wentz off target again. Botched snap. Philly is a mess.

The Eagles cannot get out of their own way. This is almost comical.

Giants help them out with the roughing the passer. First down Eagles. Maybe the "life" they needed.

Let's see if Eagles offense can keep its streak of three-and-outs alive.

What was possibly the point of that hit on Wentz?

And, of course, they do not. Fourth straight three-and-out for the Eagles. Inexcusable.

Absolutely have to take advantage of the field position.

OK. Nice defensive stand there for the Eagles. Definitely have some momentum now.

Eli goes down with pressure in his face. Eagles get their first sack of the game and a much-needed stop to open the second half.
