The Wisconsin Badgers (10-3 overall, 7-2 B1G) lost to the Ohio State Buckeyes (13-0 overall, 9-0 B1G) in the B1G Championship game on Saturday night. Wisconsin dominated the first half of the game and held a 21-7 lead at halftime. The second half was an entirely different story as the Buckeyes shut out the Badgers on their way to a third straight conference title.
Wisconsin gave Ohio State way more of a game than most people thought and as a result shouldn’t drop too far in the new rankings that will come out on Sunday morning. Did the Badgers do enough on Saturday night to secure a Rose Bowl berth and stay ahead of Penn State in the rankings? Let’s see what the experts are predicting.
- CBS Sports: Rose Bowl (January 1st) Wisconsin vs. Oregon
- USA Today: Rose Bowl (January 1st) Wisconsin vs. Oregon
- 247 Sports: Rose Bowl (January 1st) Wisconsin vs. Oregon
- Bleacher Report: Cotton Bowl (December 28th) Wisconsin vs. Memphis
- ESPN’s Mark Schlabach: Cotton Bowl (December 28th) Wisconsin vs. Memphis
- ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura: Cotton Bowl (December 28th) Wisconsin vs. Memphis
- Watch Stadium’s Brett McMurphy: Rose Bowl (January 1st) Wisconsin vs. Oregon
- Banner Society: Rose Bowl (January 1st) Wisconsin vs. Oregon
- The Sporting News: Rose Bowl (January 1st) Wisconsin vs. Oregon
It would appear that the Badgers have settled in to a nice New Year’s Six slot of either Pasadena agains the Ducks or Dallas against the Tigers. Obviously, I think we’d all prefer to head west as opposed to south, but a NY6 bowl is nice either way.
The final College Football Playoff rankings will be released on ESPN today at 11 a.m. CT and the NY6 bowls will be announced at 2 p.m. CT also on ESPN.
Where do y’all want the Badgers to go?
