Maybe it tastes like freedom?
South Korean pizza lovers can experience Papa John’s new “American Hot Dog Pizza” — complete with an entire hot dog on every slice — the company announced on Instagram.
English-speaking commenters had a lot to say in response to the chain’s concoction.
“Most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen,” read a reply from the Charleston Pizza Society in Charleston, South Carolina.
“No, no, no. Don’t call that thing American,” user @professor_kongs wrote.
Other commenters had more positive responses.
“Awesome idea!” said a user.
Besides hot dogs, the pizza also comes topped with chili salsa sauce, mozzarella cheese, cheddar potato mousseline, onions, dijon mustard sauce, pickle relish and parsley, chewboom.com reported.
The pizza is available at select locations in South Korea for a limited time.
Papa John’s recently made news when ousted founder John Schnatter said in an interview that he scarfed down “40 pizzas in the last 30 days,” and proposing that the chain had changed the way it makes its pizzas.
“Nothing has changed,” CEO Rob Lynch said in a CNBC interview published Wednesday.
