With one week remaining in the season, determining which teams are out of the College Football Playoff is the easy part. Alabama's second loss ended the run of five consecutive berths for the Crimson Tide. Minnesota saw its opportunity end in the snow against Wisconsin.

That leaves seven possible teams still in the race and multitude of possibilities with each of them playing on championship weekend. Things get simple if Ohio State, LSU and Clemson take care of business Saturday. The Buckeyes and Tigers are large favorites. The Tigers might get a test from Georgia with the Bulldogs in a win-or-out situation.

That leaves one final place for either Utah or the Big 12 champion. The Utes have played one team that has been in the committee's rankings. That game against Southern California is their lone loss. Oregon will be a big test and it's possible a win by the Ducks eliminates all the drama from Sunday's final reveal.

WINNERS AND LOSERS: Highs and lows from Week 14 in college football

But even if Utah wins, there's still a path for Oklahoma to get in the field. An impressive second defeat of Baylor would make a strong case for the Sooners, who have a better overall schedule. It will be quite the dilemma if it comes down to those teams. Even if you assume a slight edge for the Utes with the committee, there is a greater chance they lose Friday. So the edge goes to Oklahoma for now.

Of note to the larger bowl picture. There are 79 teams eligible for the postseason, meaning one team will be left home.

A reminder: Some conferences may not fulfill their bowl allotment. Asterisks denote a replacement pick. Teams in bold have accepted berths.
