More than a month after 19-year-old Aniah Blanchard was reported missing, developments in the disappearance of the Southern Union Community College student and stepdaughter of UFC fighter Walt Harris are beginning to unfold.

After a second arrest was made in the case Friday, remains that authorities have "strong reason to believe" belong to Blanchard were found Monday and a third person was charged in connection with the case.

Here's what we know:

'Strong reason to believe' remains found belong to Blanchard

Authorities have "strong reason to believe" human remains found in Macon County are those of Blanchard, Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes confirmed Monday.

Auburn police and other law enforcement responded to a "wooded area" in Shorter, Alabama, shortly before 11 a.m. local time, where they recovered human remains several feet into the woods.

Central Alabama Crimestoppers said in a release the remains were found after investigators received information regarding "the possible location of a body."

Three men face charges in disappearance

Ibraheem Yazeed, 29, was arrested Nov. 8 in Escambia County, Florida. He's charged with kidnapping in connection with Blanchard's disappearance.

Yazeed was charged in January with attempted murder, robbery and kidnapping after he and others allegedly beat two men — one nearly to death — in a hotel room. Yazeed was free on bond when he allegedly kidnapped Blanchard.

Antwain Shamar "Squirmy" Fisher, 35, was arrested Nov. 22 in Montgomery.

According to Fisher's charging documents, he disposed of evidence and provided transportation for Yazeed. The records do not say what evidence he is alleged to have handled.

David Johnson Jr. of Montgomery was arrested Monday and charged with hindering prosecution for his alleged role in Blanchard's disappearance.

Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes declined to say in what way Johnson hindered prosecution. A gag order on the case prevents attorneys, prosecutors and witnesses from speaking to the media about the case.
