Nintendo Switch Deals
Nintendo hardware and games rarely see discounts, which is why it's a good idea to act on them when prices dip. Check out our best Switch games guide, and our best Nintendo Switch Accessories guide to ensure a rich experience.
Nintendo Switch + Spyro Reignited Trilogy for $289 ($45 off)
~Walmart~
The Nintendo Switch is usually $299 by itself, so this bundle essentially nets you a copy of Spyro Reignited Trilogy for free. If you never played the Spyro games back in the day, now's as good a time as any to enjoy a modernized remake of them. Be careful with similar Switch Black Friday bundles featuring games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, since those bundles include an older model of the Switch with worse battery life.
Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons for $60 ($20 off)
Extra controllers are always handy to have around if a friend happens to come over and wants to play multiplayer games like Mario Tennis Aces and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Nintendo Switch Online Membership for $15 ($5 off)
This digital membership is a necessary evil if you want to play multiplayer games like Super Smas Bros. Ultimate or Mario Kart 8. Upcoming Nintendo Switch games such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons will likely put a heavier emphasis on multiplayer features, too, so getting the membership at a discount is a wise (if not wholly welcome) decision.
PlayStation 4 Deals
The PlayStation 5 is on the horizon for 2020, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't indulge in a PS4 and its roster of fantastic games, many of which we've rounded up in a handy guide. Be sure to check out the best PS4 accessories guide to enhance your experience.
PS4 1 TB + God of War, The Last of Us Remastered, and Horizon Zero Dawn for $199 ($100 off)
Scoring a PlayStation 4 with three amazing games for $199 is a steal. Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us Remastered and God of War are all on our best PS4 games list, so snagging them, a 1 TB PS4, and a DualShock 4 controller for one low price is a solid bundle indeed.
PS4 Pro + Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for $299 ($100 off)
If you're shopping for the most powerful PS4 on the market, the PS4 Pro is $100 off for Black Friday. Allowing you to game in 4K resolutions and play many games with a steadier framerate than the standard PS4, the Pro is worth checking out; being in a bundle with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare just sweetens the pot.
1 Year of PlayStation Plus for $45 ($15 off)
Want to play PS4 games with your friends online? You're going to need a PlayStation Plus subscription. The subscription comes with "free" games each month that you can play as long as you're a member, which helps balance out the subscription's asking price.
Sony PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 Controller for $39 ($26 off)
If you're looking for a spare PS4 controller or one to pass a friend that comes over, Walmart is discounting them in a myriad of styles and colors.
PlayStation VR Bundle Five Game Pack for $199 ($100 off)
For PS4 gamers who want to get in on the virtual reality action, Sony's PlayStation VR is getting a big discount with a bundle that includes both the PS VR headset as well as five games: Resident Evil 7, Skyrim VR, PlayStation VR Worlds, Astro Bot Rescue Mission, and Everybody's Golf VR. There's a game for everyone in this bundle, making it a good idea if this headset is going to be shared or used by gamers with eclectic tastes.
Xbox One Deals
The PS4 might have enjoyed a stronger roster of games since its debut, but Microsoft has been bringing great titles to Xbox fans in the past few years, many of which you can find in our best Xbox One games guide. The sales we're seeing aren't amazing, but many of the hardware bundles below come with new games like Jedi: Fallen Order.
Xbox One S + Sea of Thieves, Fortnite, Minecraft for $150 ($100 off)
If you don't need to play Xbox games in the highest resolution possible (it also depends if you have a 4K TV), then the Xbox One S is the way to go. This "All Digital" edition doesn't have a disc drive, which means you can only play digital games. It comes with Fortnite: Battle Royale, Sea of Thieves, and Minecraft pre-loaded.
Xbox One X + Jedi: Fallen Order for $349 ($150 off)
Star Wars fans looking to adopt Microsoft's most powerful console ever can get it with a copy of Jedi: Fallen Order Deluxe Edition (read our review) in the process. It's a brand new Star Wars adventure and looks stunning when played in 4K, meaning the Xbox One X is a great console to experience it on. If you don't care about 4K and want a cheaper option, the Xbox One S Jedi: Fallen Order bundle is also getting a discount, bring its price to $199 ($100 off).
Xbox One X Gears 5 Limited Edition Bundle for $349 ($150 off)
Microsoft's snazzy, limited edition Gears 5 console bundle includes a limited edition variant of the Xbox One X with special translucent casing, a stylized Xbox controller, and all five main Gears of War games (sorry, Gears of War: Judgment), as well as a month-long trial of Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold.
3 Months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $25 ($20 off)
Gamers who don't mind subscription services can get three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for just $25. Game Pass Ultimate allows you to play full versions of hot releases like The Outer Worlds as well as other AAA hits like Gears 5 and Metro Exodus, so if you need an easy way to catch up on all the latest games, Game Pass is a good way to go.
Xbox One Controller for $39 ($30 off)
Controllers can be surprisingly pricey, but they're a necessity if you want to play local co-op games with friends. Walmart is discounting Xbox controllers in various styles, so peruse through and find the color and look that suits your gaming ethos.
Gaming Hardware Deals
There's a lot more to a good gaming setup outside of consoles and their respective games. We have guides to the best wireless gaming headsets, (wired headsets too), as well as a roundup of the best gaming mice. Below are some of the top deals we've seen so far.
SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC Wired Gaming Headset for $180 ($70 off)
The Steelseries Arctis Pro reigns supreme as the best overall gaming headset (read our review). With its comfy design, strong build quality, and plethora of fancy features, it's definitely worth considering if you have a bigger budget.
SteelSeries Arctis 7 for $116 ($30 off)
The Arctis Pro might be the best, but the Arctis 7 is a solid contender if you have a smaller budget, specifically for PC gamers. It comes with a 3.5mm cable, the retractable mic lights up red when muted, and the SteelSeries Engine app lets you control features like mic monitoring. It helps that it's very comfortable to wear.
Razer Nari Wireless Gaming Headset for $90 ($60 off)
If you don't want to spend that much on a gaming headset, check out the Razer Nari, which our reviews editor, Jeffrey Van Camp, said is bulky but comfortable to wear. There's no mic monitoring so it can be hard to tell how loud you're talking, but the earcups isolate noise well and they sound good. The Nari works with PS4 and PC, but if you have an Xbox One, you'll need to spend a little more for the Nari Ultimate.
Astro A10 Gaming Headset for $50 ($10 off)
For console and PC gamers on a budget, the Astro A10 is a thrifty choice. Though basic in functionality and design, this headset has good sound quality and a comfy build, making it a solid choice for most situations.
Razer Mamba Wireless Gaming Mouse for $50 ($29 off)
There's a reason why the Razer Mamba is the top pick in our best gaming mouse guide. It's beautifully ergonomic, it feels nice in the hand, and the buttons are in the right places. It works wired or wireless, and it will last a long time according to our reviewer, Jess Grey.
EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 for $639 ($240 off)
The GeForce RTX 2080 is Nvidia's top-of-the-line graphics card for gamers who want to run their games at 4K resolutions with graphics settings maxed out while still enjoying silky smooth frame rates. For those interested in VR, you'll need more than just a good GPU, but the RTX 2080 will definitely help. Use promo code VGAPCJP535 at checkout to get the price down to $679, and then the $40 rebate card will bring the total to $639.
SanDisk 128 GB MicroSD Card for Switch for $20 ($10 off)
The Nintendo Switch doesn't include much internal storage (a paltry 32 GB), so getting a MicroSD to supplement the console is a must. This 128 GB MicroSD does the trick, offering up enough storage space to hold more than a few games at a time.
MSI Optix G27C4 FreeSync Gaming Monitor for $178 ($72 off)
MSI's gaming monitor has a 165Hz refresh rate, ensuring your games look silky smooth on the LCD screen, and the 1 ms response time means it's ideal for fast-paced games. The screen resolution isn't as high as we'd like—the 1,920 x 1,080 resolution might look a little stretched on a 27-inch screen— but the deal makes it decent value.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade Machine for $350 ($50 off)
Want a blast of nostalgia? An arcade machine will do the trick. This one lets you play the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time, just make sure you have the room for it in your house or apartment. If it's on the pricier end, there are discounts on other arcade machines, like the Galaga Arcade Machine*, which costs $150 ($150 off).
Game Deals
We've picked the games on this list because we love them and they're currently enjoying steep sales. We'll update the list as more great sales crop up, but for now, here are some stand-out choices. For other game suggestions, check out our guides to the best PS4 games, the best Xbox One Games, and the best Switch Games.
Mortal Kombat 11 on PS4, Xbox One, or Switch for $25 ($25 off).
Control on PS4 or Xbox One for $25 ($35 off). Read our full review.
Red Dead Redemption 2 on Xbox One for $30 ($30 off). Read our full review.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for $30 ($30 off). Read our full review.
Super Mario Odyssey for $40 ($20 off). Read our full review.
VR Deals
Virtual reality gaming is in a weird place right now. There still isn't a compelling reason to buy a system—there aren't enough enthralling games—and most high-end headsets still require a powerful PC to power them. Still, the technology is improving. We've selected some of our favorite headsets below, but check out our best VR headsets guide for more options.
HTC Vive Pro Starter Kit for $800 ($300 off)
If you're looking for Black Friday savings on a premium VR experience, HTC's Vive Pro (read our review) has one of the biggest discounts. The starter kit includes the Vive Pro headset, two SteamVR base stations, and two controllers. You'll need a lot of space and a powerful PC to get the most out of this starter kit, and it's still on the pricier end of the spectrum, but the Vive Pro's performance trumps most other VR headsets on the market.
Oculus Go for $149 ($50 off)
The Oculus Go (8/10 WIRED Recommends) is our favorite budget VR headset, since it needs no external devices to work beyond the one controller it comes with. It's an affordable, complete package with access to over 1,000 games and apps. There's a 64 GB option you might want to consider ($199), as games can quickly eat up space, but you can always remove ones you've finished.
Oculus Rift S for $349 ($50 off)
The Oculus Rift S is more expensive than the Oculus Go and requires a PC to use, but at $349, it's not a bad deal if you want entry-level access to the world of PC VR gaming. With Half-Life: Alyx on the horizon, now's a good time to gear up.
