The day after getting "Verlandered" in Game 1 of the American League Division Series, the Tampa Bay Rays have to face another one of the Houston Astros' Cy Young candidates in Gerrit Cole.
On Friday, Houston won the series-opener 6-2 behind seven shutout innings from Justin Verlander, who gave up only one hit. Jose Altuve hit a two-run homer to open the scoring and the Astros would take a 6-0 lead before giving up two runs in the eighth.
Tampa looks to bounce back in Game 2 on Saturday at Minute Maid Park.

Houston finished with the best record in the majors at 107-55 and look to bring home a second World Series title in three years.
The Astros start Gerrit Cole (20-5, 2.50 ERA) in Game 2. The 29-year-old righty led baseball with 326 strikeouts and can further pad his résumé this month ahead of his free agency. Cole has a 3.72 ERA in five career postseason starts, spanning 29 innings.
Reigning AL Cy Young winner Blake Snell (6-8, 4.29 ERA) gets the ball for the Rays, who desperately need to steal a road game in this best-of-five series. The left-hander has been limited by injuries this season and missed nearly two months before making three starts – for a total of six innings – in September.
