New Disney stores are opening inside 25 Target locations as part of a broad partnership timed with a merchandise blitz for the films “Frozen 2” and “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”

Items from the Disney films are also on sale at Target.com/Disneystore and on the Target mobile app.

The Target locations that will have Disney outlets in them will be in states throughout the country, though none of the first wave will be in New York. The closest will be in Philadelphia.

The collaboration, announced in August, calls for Disney to debut stores in 40 more locations by October, 2020 and for a new Target store at Flamingo Crossings Town Center at the Western entrance of Walt Disney World.

Each store-in-a-store, about 750 square feet, is adjacent to kids clothing and toy departments. Target said they feature “music, interactive displays and a cozy seating area where families can relax, play games and watch Disney movie clips and more.”

“I know fans are eager to discover and explore everything this collaboration has to offer,” Ken Potrock, Disney’s president.
