The home at 5 Pin Oak Court, Vermont South, Vic 3133 will be open for inspection on Saturday 23 November at 12pm, for an auction on Sunday 8 December, with Australians already queuing up to check out the iconic residence owned by fictional characters Susan and Karl Kennedy.
The home has a $1.05 million - $1.15 million asking price. The average home in the area sells for $1.03 million.
The quiet four bedroom home was the most-viewed residential listing on realestate.com.au in the past week as curious Neighbours fans took a peak at the photos.
Harcourts Judd White director told realestate.com.au that the home has so far received more calls from fans from the UK than Melburnians looking to move.
“We’ve had more calls from the UK than Melbourne, so far,” Dexter Prack said.
Prack believes UK-based expat and Neighbours super-fan Andrew Whitney - who has already purchased two homes on the famous street - will put in an offer.
“We had an inquiry from there before it hit the internet, and I’m guessing that was probably him,” Prack said.
“I have got a feeling the guy is going to have a red hot crack, talk is that he wants the whole street.
“But the owners are definitely going to auction, so he will have to make the winning bid.”
The house comes with two bathrooms and two car spots and is described by Harcourts as one of the “most iconic homes” offered by ‘Ramsay Street’ in several decades.
“Add your surname to the honour roll of the Kennedys, Kinskis and Kellys from this… famous showcase of family living. Set atop of the court amid fragrant rose gardens, with a contemporary stone top kitchen, private bedroom wing and magnificent views from its elevated front living room across the internationally renowned cul de sac.
“All the hallmarks of a happy family home are right here - from the bright living rooms overlooking the gardens to the two private outdoor living areas for BBQs and weekend entertaining.”
The home has a water feature and a separate retreat with a master bedroom.
“There's no need for any real-life drama, just pure relaxation in this family friendly pocket.”
Additionally, a separate room with a private entrance can work as a hobby space or even an office or room for Neighbours fans on tour.
And the home is close to schools, parks, shops and transport.
“This is a rare opportunity to stake your claim in Australia's long running soap opera which has screened in 60 countries around the world.”
