The Michigan football team might be surging, but unbeaten Ohio State awaits.
And oddsmakers in Las Vegas are clearly favoring the Buckeyes.
Updated odds released late Sunday list the 13th-ranked Wolverines as 8 or 9-point underdogs for Saturday’s showdown in Ann Arbor (noon, FOX).
Circa Sports -- the sports-book operator at The D Las Vegas and Golden Gate casinos -- has Michigan +8, while Wynn Las Vegas and Station casinos both have Michigan +9, according to VegasInsider.com. Circa has set the point total at 54.
Online sports book Bovada lists the Wolverines as 9 1/2-point underdogs.

Michigan (9-2, 6-2 Big Ten) has won four straight games, including a 39-14 victory win over Indiana on Saturday, but dropped seven straight to Ohio State. The latest loss to the Buckeyes came in 2018 when Michigan, the betting favorite and home to No. 1 defense in the country statistically, lost 62-39 in Columbus.
The Wolverines’ last win over Ohio State came in 2011, and is their only victory in the yearly rivalry dating back to 2003.
This season, Michigan is 7-4 against the spread and has been favored in seven games. The Wolverines is 0-2 this season as underdogs.
Meanwhile, the No. 2-ranked Buckeyes are not only a perfect 11-0 on the season but have been favored in each game. Their next-closest closing point spread was 14 1/2 points against Wisconsin on Oct. 26, a game they won by 31 points.
OSU is 8-3 against the spread, including a 3-1 mark on the road.
Michigan leads the all-time series, 58-50-6, but has lost 14 of the last 15 meetings between the two programs.
