PlayStation Plus subscribers are waiting on Sony to reveal the next free PS4 games for December 2019.
November has been packed with exclusive open betas and free demos but now fans are ready to find out what’s coming next to PS Plus.
And the good news is that fans don’t have long to wait before they find out which two PS4 games will be made available to download for free.
The December 2019 free PS4 games will be unveiled on Wednesday, November 27 at 4.30pm UK time.
Sony could always change their system and announce a last-minute State of Play presentation, but that seems very unlikely.
It would make more sense to save something like that for next month, providing fans with great news before the holidays.
Meanwhile, the free PS4 games will be available to download a week later on December 3.
Usually, we don’t have much to go on and have to rely on predictions being made regarding Sony’s plans.
These hardly ever come true, although last month’s Nioh reveal might have been one of the first.
In a huge thread over on Reddit, the popular choices appear to be Sony first-party games like The Last Guardian and Nioh.
Needless to say, The Order 1886 also gets a few mentions, and who knows, maybe this will be the month we get it.
Other popular picks include Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Uncharted 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn - although the latter feels like a real long shot.
But a big surprise has appeared online that would make December 2019 a great month for PS Plus gamers.
And if this rumour proves to be true, you can bet there will be a surge of gamers looking to sign up.
That’s because God of War, one of PlayStation’s biggest hits of recent years, has been linked with a December 2019 free games launch.
As you might imagine, a lot of gamers are sceptical that such a massive title will be made available in the coming weeks.
The rumour is currently circulating online and is connected with fans spotting the PS Plus symbol appearing next to the game on the PS Store.
This is combined with the fact that some gamers are reporting being unable to buy the game, making it seem like it will be a PlayStation Plus inclusion.
“I definitely think it will be PS+,” one user writes.
“Maybe not for December, but they did make God of War III Remastered free. Now with all the price cuts the game has received, it's only a matter of time. It’s still a game everybody on earth should own.”
But as another user points out, we have seen similar errors pop up in the past in connection with EA games.
And these usually boil down to some kind of problem with a new feature launching, or a sale going on for the PlayStation Store. Whatever is offered in December, PS Plus members usually have a soft spot for two kinds of games.
PS4 gamers like the chance to pick up games that they haven’t bought yet, meaning titles that haven’t been huge hits. And they also like to receive games that are exclusive to the PS4 platforms, like Detroit Become Human and Bloodborne.
All should be revealed in the coming days by Sony, and until that happens, November’s lineup is still available to download.
This means gamers can still add Nioh and Outlast 2 to their digital libraries on PS4 and PS4 Pro.
